Reinventing Yourself After 60
Reinvention isn't reserved for the young. One woman's story of building a new life — and a new business — after sixty.

Starting over
At sixty-two, with the youngest child married and the career behind her, she felt a familiar restlessness. Instead of filling the hours, she asked a question she'd avoided for decades: what did she actually want?
The answer surprised her
It wasn't travel or rest. It was a shop — a small, shabby-chic place selling the linens and ceramics she'd collected for years. Everyone told her it was foolish. She opened it anyway, and in its first year it became the village's meeting point.
What she learned
"The reinvention wasn't about the business," she says. "It was about trusting that I still had something to build. The second you believe that, the how takes care of itself."
