About Sixty & Thriving

Sixty & Thriving is an online magazine and digital sanctuary created for women over sixty who refuse to be defined by a number. We believe the decades after sixty are not a winding down but a widening out — a time of new curiosity, new friendships, new adventures, and a deeper sense of who we are. Our pages are built for the woman who is planning her next trip, reinventing her career, rediscovering her creativity, or simply looking for thoughtful company on a slow morning.

What we publish

We curate modern living through immersive storytelling, architectural design, and editorial depth. Our content spans six categories — Lifestyle, Health and Fitness, Mindset, Family, Beauty, and Dating — covering everything from plein air painting trips in the Dolomites to navigating dating in later life, from strength training after sixty to the quiet mindset shifts that transform a day. Every article is written in a warm, honest voice by writers and contributors who are living these experiences themselves. We favour real stories over generic advice, and we design each piece to be read slowly, the way a good magazine should be.

Who we are for

Our readers are women in their sixties, seventies, and beyond — retired or still working, single or partnered, traveling the world or rooted in a beloved home. They are curious, discerning, and uninterested in being spoken down to. Whether you arrived here because you are embracing a new chapter or simply looking for a community that gets it, you are welcome. Seventy-five thousand readers already receive our weekly newsletter, and we would be honoured to count you among them.

Who builds it

Sixty & Thriving is an independent publication built by a small team of writers, editors, and designers who are passionate about reshaping the story of aging. We commission original reporting, first-person essays, and practical guides from contributors across the United States, Australia, Canada, and beyond. We are proudly ad-light and reader-supported, which means our loyalty is to you, our readers — not to an algorithm. If you have a story to share or a topic you would like us to cover, we would love to hear from you on our Contact page.
